In case you miss your appointment, they will not let you take the exam, thereby forfeiting the exam fee.

On the scheduled day, you must arrive thirty minutes earlier to complete sign-in, identification, and to understand the examination process. If you do not manage to arrive on time, you will not be let to the testing room and will lose the paid fee.

Submit application

The final step is to apply to the Insurance Licensing Department , including a bond of $1000. You will need to pay $100 for the license application.

How to renew your New York State adjuster license

In New York, you must renew the adjuster license every two years. You must also complete 15 credit hours of continuing education during this time.
